YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! You already know that an American Cancer Society Discovery Shop is a great place to get incredible deals on unique quality resale items but did you know it's also a great place to volunteer? Pass the word to your relatives and friends.

Volunteers are currently needed Thursday afternoons, Friday mornings and afternoons. You can help in our back room by preparing donations, just four hours a week. • Crafts made by our volunteers, friends and families are very popular! This event will continue through Sunday, April 29.
• Arbor Day is Friday, April 27. Anything green sells for 20% off.
• Our popular $1 sale on all blue tags runs from Saturday, April 21, through the end of the month. Grab some good buys!
• Watch for yellow tags at 50% off starting Tuesday, May 1.
• Thursday, May 3, through Sunday, May 6, join us for our "Spring Zing" and get 25% off store wide. (Jewelry excluded.)

Our "First Ever Handwork Event" starts Sunday, April 15

• We kick off the event at the Discovery Shop, 4535 California Ave SW, with a sale of homemade cookies baked by our super volunteers. If you're not a sugar enthusiast you'll find other items available. For instance, American Doll clothing, knit hats and scarves and many many more items made with love by our volunteers, friends and families.
• Blue tags continue at 50% off though Saturday, April 21. Also on April 21 we join other merchants in the Alaska Junction with a 10% off Tax Free Day. Did you lose your shirt on tax day? Here's your opportunity to replace it at a great price.
• Volunteer Appreciation Week begins Sunday, April 15. The Discovery Shop is an all-volunteer run shop so stop by and thank them for giving their time to help in the fight against cancer. You may want to check out the opportunities for volunteering also. For just four hours a week you can make a difference!
• Did you know you can get 20% off purchases on your birthday? Just show the cashier your ID to get this discount.

• Mondays - double stamp on customer appreciation cards between 10AM-Noon
• Tuesdays - 20% off total purchases all day for Seniors
