HAPPENINGS - April 22-May 5

Lots going on at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop in the next two weeks. Top of the list is thanking all of our wonderful volunteers for their dedication and support. Join us in thanking them during Volunteer Appreciation Week April 21-April 27 when you are in the shop. Without them we would be unable to help fight cancer. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. "A World With Less Cancer is a World With More Birthdays."

The volunteer handmade Craft Fair continues through Sunday April 28. There are still beautiful items to choose from, like American doll outfits, infant sweaters & hats, etc., etc.

Also during the week of April 21- April 27 we are offering all clothing at a 50% off discount to make room for new donations. (Exception: Hand crafted items at the Craft Fair.)

Blue tagged items are $1 through the end of the month and yellow tags will be 50% off starting Wednesday May 1.

If you're looking for something special for Mom on Mother's Day, come in Wednesday May 1 through Sunday May 12 to check out our specially designed teacups. They will be filled with "goodies" for a great gift and when the "goodies" are gone she will have a beautiful teacup as a remembrance of her special day.

All month specials: Double stamps on Customer Appreciation Cards Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon. Tuesdays-20% off to Seniors over age 55. Saturdays-20% off for high school students when showing their school ID. Sundays-all clothing for men is 50% off.

The month of May is Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness month (ribbon color black) and Brain Cancer Awareness month (ribbon color grey).
