High quality, gently used, and new merchandise, including collectible and vintage items are donated by the community and then sold in our upscale retail stores. Purchases, donations of goods and volunteers help the American Cancer Society make a big impact on cancer.

Be part of a unique retail experience

You meet the nicest people in a Discovery Shop - the kind of people who give of their time and talent to personally help make a difference.

Our shops sell quality resale items, and all monies go directly to fight cancer. The shops are bright and attractive and provide a pleasant working environment. We need volunteers who want to share their energy and enthusiasm a few hours a month.

The importance of our work is the fact that our volunteers help fund American Cancer Society programs of Research, Education, Advocacy and Patient Services. If you have time to volunteer stop by our West Seattle Discovery Shop and fill out an application. Bring a friend!

The annual West Seattle Alaska Junction Summer Fest 2025 event is July 11-13

Live music, food, craft vendors, kid's zone, beer garden and more 

Festival Hours: Thursday 5-8pm/Friday 1-8pm/ Saturday 10am-8pm

Sunday 10am-5pm + Farmers Market

The West Seattle Discovery Shop will be 25% off the entire Shop (except plants) Friday July 11 and Saturday July 12.

Our volunteers supply plants of every size and shape for this annual plant sale fund raiser during the West Seattle Alaska Junction Summer Fest and if you haven't seen the variety of gorgeous indoor/outdoor plants before, you're going to be pleasantly surprised! Prices are guaranteed to make you carry them away by the armload!
